Substitute Teacher Rate Increase Guidelines
A graduated substitute teacher rate increase was established for all substitute teachers (certified and emergency certified) effective for the 2009-10 school year as follows:
Daily Rate: $75/day
After 20 workdays: $80/day
After 40 workdays: $85/day
After 60 workdays: $90/day
All days worked as either substitute teacher, substitute paraprofessional, or substitute teaching assistant will count towards the number of days worked to qualify for each increase.
Half workdays will count as full workdays towards the number of workdays needed to qualify for each increase; however, payment will be made at half the daily rate for half days worked.
